Gibbs and Associates, developer of GibbsCAM software for programming CNC machine tools and a Cimatron company, announced that it has released the newest version of GibbsCAM NC programming software, GibbsCAM 2015. New release introduces its new engine, the Universal Kinematic Machine (UKM), while maintaining the ease of use for which GibbsCAM is known.


GibbsCAM UKM was developed to further simplify programming, provide the flexibility to easily support the most advanced machines and accurately simulate all of the machine components and capabilities of any machine. Driven by UKM, GibbsCAM supports most machine configurations available today and even machines that haven't been invented yet. GibbsCAM 2015, with GibbsCAM UKM, provides the most accurate and complete rendering and machine simulation available, simplifies programming of complex machines, and enables system-wide performance improvements.

GibbsCAM 2015 version 10.9.26 Update List:
Fix: Resolved an issue with form tool loses it's Custom settings while incorrectly mapped to "Other" option.
Fix: Resolved an issue with copying a process, between multiple instances of GibbsCAM, displays "Couldn't save file to specified location" message.
Update: Implemented support for use of P for Pi in math functions.
Fix: Resolved an issue when selecting a Utility Tool, and entering values for the length, and the diameter, you can see in the preview window that the touchoff point is above the Tool. This caused the Tool to be displayed above the Tool Block in the Toolblock Attachment Data dialog, and in Simulation.
Fix: Resolved an issue in the GibbsCAM Documentation that required updating the section describing "Transform Ops".
Fix: Resolved an issue in Wire EDM that was removing the wrong portion of a gluestop.
Update: Implemented documentation on the requirements for customers to utilize the "Add G Code" plug-in.
Fix: Resolved a French localization issue for one of the balloons in the Advanced 3D - Adaptive Pocketing strategy.
Fix: Resolved an issue in Intermediate Tooling that caused the cutting tool to get displayed inside the actual tool block.
Fix: Resolved a display refreshing issue when adding a tool block along with a cutting tool.
Fix: Resolved an issue that caused the Machine Manager to generate an Unhandled Exception error after import.
Fix: Resolved an issue in the GibbsCAM Documentation that was lacking the information on the changes that were implemented into AFR.
Fix: Resolved an issue that caused the Machine Manager to display an inaccurate "Label must be unique" message.
Post: Resolved an issue in the Post Engine that caused Custom Drill Cycles to produce incorrect code within the sub program.
Fix: Resolved an issue that prevented the intermediate tooling offsets from actually offsetting the tool block.
Fix: Resolved an issue in the GibbsCAM Reported that improperly placed the graphic images.
Fix: Resolved an issue that prevented a legacy part file containing a "Program Stop" from updating correctly into v11.
