Total Commander là một tiện ích nhỏ gọn, tương tự như Explore trong Windows, nhưng làm việc hiệu quả hơn rất nhiều. Với giao diện 2 cửa sổ làm việc như Windows Explore, mỗi cửa số lại có thể mở thêm nhiều Tab, việc quản lý files trở nên thuận tiện và dễ dàng hơn rất nhiều. Có rất nhiều các phần mềm tiện ích tương tự như Total Commander, nhưng Total Commander đặc biệt hơn với hàng trăm Plugins, Tools hoàn toàn miễn phí. Với sự hỗ trợ của các Plugins thì Total Commander trở lên mạnh mẽ hơn nhiều lần, xứng đáng để sử dụng hơn tất cả.
