Windows 10 is a personal computer operating system developed by Microsoft as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems. Unveiled on September 30, 2014, it is scheduled to be released in 2015, and is currently in public beta testing. For its first year of availability, Windows 10 will be offered at no charge for consumer users of Windows 8.1 and Windows 7.
First presented in April 2014 at the Build Conference, Windows 10 aims to address shortcomings in the user interface introduced by Windows 8 by improving the user experience for non-touchscreen devices (such as desktop computers and laptops), including a new revision of the desktop Start menu, a virtual desktop system, and the ability to run Windows Store apps within windows on the desktop as well as in full-screen mode. Windows 10 will also mark the culmination of a plan by Microsoft to unify Windows PC, Windows Phone and Windows Embedded product families around a common internal core.

RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Free hard disk space: 16 GB
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver

-Transparency option for Start Menu. All Apps icon has been replaced, and apps can be dragged from All Apps to the Start Menu to pin them there. The "Places" title has been removed, and icons for the three apps (Documents, Settings, and File Explorer) have been removed.
-Applications and programs in other virtual desktops do not appear on the taskbar unless changed in Settings. The "Add Desktop" icon has been moved, open windows can be dragged to open desktops, or to the "Add Desktop" icon to create a new desktop with the program open.
-Cortana now supported in China, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain.
-New Network flyout appears when clicking on Network icon in system tray instead of opening Settings app.
-Start button is smaller, has new hover animation.
-Can now print to PDFs
-Windows Feedback and Insider Hube apps have been updated and has a new "Your Progress" page in the Insider Hub.
-Lock screen now features rounded avatars.
-Optimized the handwriting input canvas for better handwriting recognition.
